The name OSSAWA comes from the Avikam language of Côte d’Ivoire, meaning “God is Great.” It carries the spirit of the brand’s founder, Ivorian-American designer Georges “Bijoux” Aguehounde, who began OSSAWA in 2014 as a personal search for purpose, identity, and dignity in expression. What started as one man’s quest to understand his inner vision has grown into a global movement of creators, leaders, and style thinkers.

Our work is anchored in a timeless truth; When the inner world shifts, the outer world transforms. This reflects a Hermetic idea that what we hold inside eventually becomes visible on the outside. OSSAWA designs tools that help people express that inner power with clarity and intention.
